Contributing guide

Contributions to this project are welcome and appreciated. The main goal is to provide accurate, structured, and understandable documentation about the WSL ecosystem and its configurations, as well as related repositories and future tools.

What you can contribute

You can help improve the project in many ways, including:

  • Reporting issues or inaccuracies.
  • Fixing typos and grammatical errors.
  • Improving wording, clarity, or structure of existing pages or configurations.
  • Updating outdated information.
  • Adding version-specific notes.
  • Adding examples, command usage details, or configuration notes.
  • Suggesting improvements to the site structure or navigation.

You do not need to write code to contribute.

How to contribute

The website and configuration code are hosted in GitHub repositories, and the usual workflow applies:

  1. Fork the WSL configurations or Website repository.
  2. Create a separate branch for your changes.
  3. Make your changes: documentation, configuration, or code.
  4. Submit a pull request with a brief description of what you changed and why.
  5. If you are unsure, you can simply open an issue and start a discussion.

Small and focused pull requests are preferred.

  • Keep a neutral, technical tone.
  • Avoid assumptions and unverified statements.
